Cookie Policy
Last update: January 12, 2026
This policy describes the use of cookies on ecufundprop.com and our implementation of the Google Consent Mode v2 standard, in force since 2024 and mandatory in 2026 for advertisers using Google products in the European Economic Area and other regions. While Ecuador does not directly require this standard, we apply it as an international best practice.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website saves on your device to remember information between visits: selected language, active session, aggregated metrics, etc. There are first-party cookies (managed by Ecufundprop) and third-party cookies (Google).
2. Consent Mode v2
Before any Google script loads, we initialize consent with all advertising and analytics parameters in 'denied' state. Only when you accept specific categories do we run gtag('consent', 'update', …) with the new values. This means that, until your authorization, Google does not store advertising identifiers, does not personalize ads and does not send unconsented measurement pings. We additionally apply ads_data_redaction=true and url_passthrough=true to reduce data exposure.
3. Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always active): allow the site to load and remember your cookie choice. Functional: remember the language. Analytics: Google Analytics 4 in consent mode. Advertising and personalization: Google Ads (AW-18064110603) to measure conversions and, if authorized, personalize campaigns.
4. Managing consent
The first time you visit the site, a banner appears with four options: 'Accept all', 'Reject all', 'Manage preferences' and 'Save preferences'. Your choice is stored in the browser's localStorage under the key ecufundprop_consent. You can change it at any time via the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer. If you clear local storage, the banner will reappear.
5. Third-party cookies
When you authorize the corresponding categories, Google may set cookies such as _ga, _gid, _gcl_au, IDE or NID. Consult Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy for more details.
6. How to disable them in your browser
In addition to the banner, all modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies from their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect navigation.
